If you are a school and would like an artist to help teach your children how to make these mosaics this artist would be glad to help. Successful workshops and residencies have been undertaken in a Primary School and a Special school.

Beach Pebble Mosaic Panels

In the Primary school we (including the children) selected the best designs in a design competition. The completed mosaic panels were fixed to the outside walls of the school.

Mosaic Panel as tactile art

At the Special School we combined the mosaic workshops- exploring the tactile and sensory nature of the beach pebbles, shells and softened Sea glass- with Symphonic gong workshops, to great success. The finished tactile panels were  mounted on exterior walls (at wheelchair accessible height) along a path, becoming a sensory trail.

I am delighted to say that the Gong Workshops were truly magical and totally exceeded my expectations.  Students showed their obvious pleasure and they participated and listened with absolute awe and wonder to the haunting resonance of the gongs.  I would highly recommend this workshop as a most worthwhile activity for any other special school as a not to miss magical, musical opportunity.’

If you are a collector of material that could be incorporated into a mosaic but you don’t know exactly how to do it then this artist can help you ! I can come and bring all the necessary extra material required and show you how you can make your own mosaic.

dragonfly mosaicIf you would love to be able to make any of the mosaics shown on this page then I can bring all the material and lead you through the process of making and creating. This would be a fantastic experience for all the family, and I would be able to fix the mosaic panels for you inside or out.

Perhaps you would like to come to the beautiful award-winning beaches of Pembrokeshire and combine learning mosaic making with a seaside holiday ? You could gather up your own beach-combed material from a startling variety of beaches. Creative mosaic making here in the magical kingdom of Dyfed is perfectly possible.
